Established over 30 years ago, Sypol has grown with the emerging health, safety and environmental solutions industry and our structured yet flexible approach to strategic health, safety and eco risk management is borne from our unrivalled experience.

By establishing dynamic relationships with our customers, we ensure mutual trust is maintained through open communication and in the true spirit of partnership. We have always been health, safety and environmental pioneers - we believe that no other consultancy working in our field can match the best-in-class approach we have developed.

Our vision

Our vision and aims remain consistent and clear - “The Friendly Experts – Working with Customers to achieve Healthy Businesses”, and our commitment to our staff and its development is underpinned by people strategies such as the steering group for Investors in People and healthy businesses; strong management support defined and understood; and staff surveys carried out on an annual basis.

We work with organisations which have the same ethos as we have with regard to “Healthy Businesses” – they must believe the importance of health and safety and not expect a “tick box” exercise.

We take a serious view of promoting health and wellbeing. We practice what we preach - in 2006 we introduced a new health and wellbeing policy and in 2008 we aimed to reduce sickness absence, maintain a healthy staff turnover and increase our staff stability rate.

We have seen a return on our investment in management development and our health and wellbeing initiatives. We continue to make improvements by engaging our employees in our health and wellbeing plans and ensuring that they take responsibility and play an active role. Our managers continue to develop and give more responsibility to their teams through the concept of self managed teams.

In 2009 we rolled out our Steps to Success stress management solution to further augment our health and wellbeing initiatives. We promote a “Fit for Work” attitude to enable our employees to get back to work quicker through various processes which may include flexible working or even working whilst they are ill if it is conducive to their recovery.
