Steve has worked as a Principal Occupational Health & Hygiene Consultant for a number of years. He undertakes strategic level reviews of occupational health requirements, including quantitative surveys for both chemical and physical hazards and carries out detailed ‘walkthrough surveys’, that involve addressing all aspects of a company’s health and hygiene policies and procedures, noting what works well and offering guidance for those areas where improvement is deemed necessary. His areas of speciality include food production, manufacturing and the service sector. Steve is also a P402 and S301 qualified asbestos surveyor undertaking identification surveys and providing asbestos management advice.
Working as a principal member of Sypol’s Occupational Health & Hygiene Team, Steve delivers consultancy and training throughout mainland Europe as well as in the UK and is the dedicated Project Manager for a number of multi-international clients, managing a team of consultants. He has detailed knowledge of legislative requirements in a number of European countries. Working for Sypol has given Steve the opportunity to work with a large number of clients on the development and implementation of Occupational Health Strategy programmes, including ill-health prevention and incorporating best occupational health practices into client business plans.
